Bird #161 — Ruddy Turnstone

Bay Park, Michigan — just south of Saginaw Bay, Lake Huron

These Ruddy Turnstones were foraging with a mixed flock of birds in a large dirt field that was being plowed by a tractor.  They were following behind and appeared to be eating insects that were being stirred up.
