Coronado National Forest, Arizona — Sabino Canyon Recreation Area

Mom and Sally dropped me off at Sabino Canyon early in the morning. I walked up and back down the canyon, birding as I went. I got to the visitor center at the park gate at 3:00 and called Mom to pick me up. The apartment was 20 minutes away. I laid down on a bench in the shade outside.

These three squirrels were foraging around holes and in the brush in front of the building. They took handouts from visitors and often stood upright on their hind legs.
