Pine Lake, Wisconsin – Highlander Road

Jeff and I played disc golf in the afternoon. On the way back to his house, we got Sal and the girls at the AmericInn and picked up three pizzas. We spent the evening at the Weddle’s. My daughter played with Belinda and Elizabeth. Cindy took care of Jacob (who was a month old at the time). Sal, Jeff, Beth and I played Speed Scrabble. We left at 10:30 to go back to the hotel.

When we turned off Dundee Road onto Highlander, I spotted this mouse on the pavement right next to the grassy edge of the road through the wooded subdivision. I stopped the car and cought it in the headlights. It looked like it was feeding on something. It sat up some and ran back and forth along the edge of the pavement, then disappeared into the roadside grass.
