McNaughton, Wisconsin — Mom and Dad’s house

We spent the Fourth of July weekend at Mom and Dad’s house with the Weddles.  The family was standing in the small clearing next to the house where the septic tank is buried.

We heard the Black-billed Cuckoo calling, then spotted it as it flew from perch to perch in the branches over the clearing.  It seemed (as all cuckoos do to me) to be very clumsy as it moved about.
