Notes:A wordless graphic novel about a poor man who leaves his wife and daughter and travels to another country. He struggles to cope with the language and the city and a lot of other things that confuse him. He has trouble finding a job but finally does and settles in. He sends for his family and they join him and soon are helping other newcomers find their way.

Review - Arrival, The

The artist used a surrealistic style to depict the strangeness that immigrants confront when the move to a new country. The animals, buildings and food were all show in weird shapes. Only the people looked relatively normal. I didn't bother trying to work out all they symbolism, but I picked up on the main point right away. It's somewhat of a one-note song without much drama.
