I went with Jim Matheson, Dave Pearson and Bob Sovcik, three guys from work. I don’t remember anything about the game itself. I do remember that our seats were way down the left-field line in the absolute back row of the upper deck. Our backs were against the chain-link fence. The Cubs lost 7-4.
I also recall that Bob had the brilliant idea of driving to Skokie and taking the Skokie Swift to the game. It worked OK for the ride in, but it took us forever to get back, crammed as tight as we could be against thousands of other people in the El train. Never again.
