This is the dam on Lee Creek in Devil’s Den State Park.
There were two posts on top of the dam. (One of them is visible in the above photo.) I think they are used to control the flow of water somehow, but they don’t look as though they’ve been used in a while. I took some close-ups, mostly as an experiment in artsy photography. I’m not sure I succeeded, but I had fun trying.
Nearby was a monument to the CCC workers who built the dam and most of the buildings and roads in the park during the Depression. As long as I was in the mood to take close-ups, I took a few of the monument too.
Cecil Sprinkles?! What a great name!
