The L&N Railroad bridge between Newport, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio, built in 1886, has been turned into a pedestrian walkway across the Ohio River — and painted purple for some reason. I didn’t walk all the way across — I didn’t have time and I’d already done quite a bit of exploring on the other side of the river. But I did walk about a third of the way across.

The Scotts company had taken over Fountain Square with a turf builder demonstration area, a bean bag toss game, a bagpiper, and several young women waving at people from behind big heads. The girl behind the head saw me taking photos with the chair and asked what I was doing. I asked her if I could get a shot of her, and this is the result.
