The plot was interesting enough, and the characters were likeable (or not, according to the author's intentions) but the writing style was verbose, and I had to read through an awful lot of unbelieveable dialogue. Many times I had no clue what was going on, but I knew it didn't matter because it took pages for anything to occur, and I had plenty of time to catch up when things started making sense.
