Notes:Three sisters and their brother are having a boring summer and wishing for magic. They almost get what they want when they find a magic coin that gives them half of what they wish for. This takes some getting used to, and before they figure out how to use it, they find themselves kidnapped in the desert and on the verge of destroying Camelot.

Review - Half Magic

Four siblings find a magic coin that gives them half of what they wish for. After some early mishaps — being kidnapped in the desert and almost destroying Camelot — the coin helps their widowed mother fall in love with Mr. Smith. The coin’s power runs out — for them — and they pass it on to another child.

The premise is clever, and the writing is pretty clever too, but after a while the author runs out of clever ways to do things by halves. Still, it's a cute book that I imagine pre-teens would enjoy.
