Review - Life
I read the section of Dickinson's complete poems that came under the heading of Life. There were a few occasions when a portion of a poem grabbed me, but I thought a lot of them ended ambiguously. And try as I might, I'm just not that into poetry.
My dad used to quote the second half of this one:
XXVII
I ’M nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there ’s a pair of us—don’t tell!
They ’d banish us, you know.
How dreary to be somebody
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!
