Review - Pieces of the Frame

The best essays take a subject I'm not particularly interested in and, in an interesting fashion, educate me about it and get me a little bit interested. McPhee generally does that as well as anybody. The ones on Monopoly and the Loch Ness monster were weird. The ones on making Whiskey in Scotland and the director of the National Parks were a bit dull. The rest were fascinating.
