Review - A Feathered River Across the Sky
Informative, if a bit dry. At times, it's little more than a recitation of facts. Greenberg discovered everything he could about the bird and shared all of it in this book.
At the same time, it made me sad. It would have been so simple to preserve the species, at least for a while longer, and without hurting anybody. But people simply didn't think of conservation until it was too late. I see it, of course, as more evidence that we live in a broken world. Perhaps, due to the ignorance and greed of mankind, the extinction of this, and many other species, is inevitable.
