Review - Gospel of Matthew, The

Gaebelein is Acts 2 dispensational. At times, he is excellent, but some things he does repeatedly in this book drove me crazy. First, he kept insisting that Jesus was prophesying about the church in the middle of passages that were stated specifically that they were about the kingdom. He claimed the application of one verse would be to the Jews only, the next about the church, and the next to the Jews only again. How the apostles were ever supposed to follow what He was talking about is a mystery, especially since they hadn't been told about the church. The second thing he does is attempt to see everything as a "type." This is occasionally thought-provoking, but more often just strange.
