The most interesting ones took a particular subject, like the reliability of photographic evidence, and apply it to different topics—in this case mammography and the misinterpretation of Iraq's WMDs. Other essays covered topics like plagiarism; the differing marketing strategies of Clairol and L'Oreal; and the defects in criminal profiling.

Review - What the Dog Saw

There were a few really interesting essays, and a lot of boring ones. I almost gave up on the book a few times, but hung in there because of the middle collection of essays on "Theories, Predictions, and Diagnoses." Those were pretty good.
