Notes:Marlowe is hired by the innocent-looking Orfamey to find her big brother Orrin, who has disappeared in Hollywood. As Marlowe investigates, he keeps finding bodies—including Orrin's. He also finds out that Orfamey and Orrin have a big sister, Mavis, who is about to become a big movie star. And Mavis is good friends with a gangster who is suspected of killing a mob boss. In the end, it all turns out that Orfamey and Orrin, jealous of their big sister, framed the gangster and used the frame to blackmail their big sister for some of her money. Marlowe just barely escapes being in big trouble with the cops, but manages to protect Mavis.

Review - Little Sister, The

I was following along well for the first two-thirds and enjoying it enough to read in one day. But then it got overly complicated and seemed to go on forever and while I finally understood what was going on, I had lost interest.
