Reviews for The Damsel
Review - Damsel, The
The bits about Grofield and Elly eluding the bad guys were fun. The rest of the plot—about the assassination and all—were boring and unbelievable.

| Notes: | First of several Alan Grofield novels Grofield is recovering from an injury sustained when he robbed a casino. He's in a hotel in Mexico when a young woman climbs in the window. She asks for his help in preventing the murder of a Central American dictator—not because she has any love for the dictator, but the murderer is supposed to be her father and she wants to save him. Grofield sees it as an opportunity to get the documents he needs to get back into the states, so he goes along. They have to elude—or fight off—a bunch of bad guys and have a fling along the way. |
