| Notes: | Four short stories about five friends who, during the war, were members of the French resistance. Each had the code name of an animal. The leader is Roquebrun (The Fox). They employ extra-legal but honorable methods to solve crimes and rid the world of drug dealers. Roquebrun works with local police detective Scoubide, giving the detective all the credit. The stories are The Picture Thieves in which the four solve an art theft; How to Stick Up a Fifty-Million-Dollar Riviera Gala in which they successfully predict how thieves will attempt to raid the guests at a party; Snow Over the Cote D'azur in which they track and kill a gang of drug dealers responsible for the death of Roquebrun's niece; and Le Snatch Double in which they solve a kidnapping and engineer the safe return of a child by kidnapping the child of the kidnapper (who happened to be an informer during the war). |
