Review - High Adventure

The narrative contained a lot of conversations between Hall and his friend and fellow pilot Drew about the meaning of war and why flying was an adventure. I'm not sure if Hall was humble and so only talked of his failures and misadventures, or if he really didn't accomplish much. He told about getting lost, about crash landing, about almost getting shot down by the Germans. He never told about any successes he had. The book ends before the end of the war because Hall was shot down and spent the last months of the war in a German P.O.W. camp.
