Notes:Rowan Darling owns a record store in Philadelphia with Daisy, his friend from college. When Rowan's brother, Holden, dies in an accident, he goes home to the small Illinois town where he grew up. Rowan fled the town because his best friend, Skid, married Rowan's girlfriend, Margot, and he's never gotten over the hurt. But the days before the funeral heal those wounds. Among other things, he meets Holden's fiancee and their son, reconnects with his mother, and reconciles his feelings about Holden. And he decides that he loves Daisy.

Review - Darling at the Campsite

Not sure how this one got on my list. It's not my usual sort of book. But the characters were interesting, the writing was good and occasionally clever, and it kept me reading. It had its share of unnecessary language and other things, but most of it felt authentic.
