Review - Quentin Durward

Interesting, but slow-moving account of the adventures and romance of a Scottish mercenary in France during the squabbles between King Louis XI and Charles, the Duke of Burgandy. The plot is good, but Scott spent far more time telling how clever and sneaky the king was than he spent on action.
