Wow! I sat down and watched this entire thing with my wife on a cold and snowy afternoon. She loved it. I thought it was just a bit more exciting than watching snow melt. Both Jennifer Ehle (who played Elizabeth)and Colin Firth (who played Darcy) seemed to be asleep most of the time. I know I was. The actress who played Jane was woefully miscast. There was all sorts of filler to make the series last the required number of episodes.

I do have to admit that the production had the feel of actually taking place at the time it was set, so if you like period pieces, this one might be up your alley. If you have an entire day to kill.
