A spoof film that mocked Elvis movies, spy movies and Casablanca. Nick Rivers is an American rock star who travels to East Germany for a concert. He meets Hillary who is working with the resistance to find her scientist father who has been kidnapped to make a giant magnet to capture submarines. Nick is arrested and finds the scientist in jail. Hillary helps him escape and they fall in love. They meet with the resistance which is led by Nigel, Hillary’s love from long ago (in a spoof of that Brooke Shields desert island movie). But Nigel turns out to be a traitor. He is defeated and Nick goes back to America with Hillary and her father.

The plot makes no sense, but there were actually some funny parts and some good satire on the 80s. Val Kilmer did his own singing and dancing.
