Reviews for 12 Angry Men
Review - 12 Angry Men
The jury is deliberating on the case of a Latino boy accused of stabbing his father to death. At first, only Juror 8 votes not guilty. The other eleven plead and argue to get him to change his mind. He says he’s not sure but since a guilty verdict will send the kid to the chair, he thinks the case deserves some talk. He brings up several issues he has with the prosecution’s case, and one by one the other jurors come to take his side. In many cases, the jurors have to face their own prejudices before changing their minds. The last hold out, Juror 3, finally realizes that his anger is directed at his own 23-year-old son who hasn’t talked to him in two years. The jury finally agrees unanimously to vote not guilty.
Almost the entire movie takes place in the jury room. The plot is a bit contrived, but the drama is real and the acting, for the most part is convincing.
