A popular ex-President moves to the tiny town of Mooseport and is asked to run for mayor. He finds himself running against Handy Harrison, the hardware store owner and, by accident, dating Handy's girlfriend. It turns into a close race, and the President brings in his campaign advisors. There's national media exposure and debates and in the end, the President is elected by one vote (but not really, Handy really won but lied about his vote). The President proposes to his chief advisor while Handy finally proposes to his girlfriend.

Cute. Not tremendously deep, but cute.
