Reviews for The Whole Nine Yards
Review - Whole Nine Yards, The
Very funny. Jimmy "The Tulip" a mob hitman moves into a Montreal suburb next door to Oz, a dentist with a miserable wife. Oz's wife sends Oz to Chicago to collect the finder's fee from the mob for locating Jimmy. While there, Oz meets and falls in love with Jimmy's wife.
Meanwhile, Oz's wife is trying to hire a hitman to kill Oz. Her first hire, a young woman, goes to work as Oz's dental receptionist, but decides she likes Oz too much to kill him. When she finds out Oz knows The Tulip, her hero, she demands an introduction. Jimmy and the receptionist are waiting for the Chicago gangsters when they come to kill Jimmy and kill them instead. But then he finds out Oz is in love with his wife. Oz comes up with a plan. He changes the dental work on one of the hit men so it looks like Jimmy is dead. He then has Jimmy's wife sign over her money to Jimmy so he can disappear with the receptionist, whom he now loves. In return, Jimmy lest Oz marry his "widow" and gives them a million dollars to boot. Oz's wife is sent to prison for trying to have Oz killed. It's all very confusing, but very funny.
