Long, with two plots competing. Had some fun scenes and nice moments but tried to do too much.

| Description: | David Basner (Tom Hanks) is a successful advertising executive whose life is complicated when his parents (Jackie Gleason and Eva Marie Saint) split up. Their family was loveless, but David's father has nobody else to care for him and so David takes over. Things get complicated when his dad needs surgery. While all this is going on, David is also juggling girls Cheryl (Sela Ward) the daughter of his top client and Donna (Bess Armstrong) his ex-girlfriend for whom he still cares. |
