Review - Arch of Triumph
Anthony Hopkins was good in his role. Lesley-Anne Down, while lovely, was rather dull as was the pace of the movie.

| Description: | Anthony Hopkins plays Doctor Ravic, a German surgeon who helped Jews escape the Nazis. He was captured and tortured and forced to watch his girlfriend murdered. He escaped to Paris where he lives in hiding, dreaming of the day when he can get revenge on the Gestapo officer who tortured him. One night he happens upon Joan, a British actress determined to take her life. He rescues her and they fall in love. But when he's arrested by the police, Joan moves on to another man. When Ravic returns months later, Joan tries to return to him but is shot by her new lover. Meanwhile Ravic spots the Gestapo officer and kills him. He decides not to run anymore and turns himself in to be sent to a detention camp in France. |
