Review - On the Double
It was just a vehicle for Danny Kaye's slapstick, which I've never been a big fan of.

| Description: | American private Ernie Williams (Danny Kaye) bears a striking resemblance to British Colonel MacKenzie, who is planning the D-Day invasion. When an attempt is made on MacKenzie's life, Ernie is chosen to impersonate him. The Colonel's wife, Lady Margaret (Dana Wynter) shows up unexpectedly and discovers the deception immediately. She helps Ernie and, after her husband is killed in the war, falls in love with him. Ernie is captured by the Germans who think he's MacKenzie. He gives them false info about the invasion plans, then escapes back to Margaret. |
