| Description: | Steve Elliot (Red Skelton) is a song writer who is getting married to Caroline Brooks (Esther Williams), a swim coach at an Women's college. Producer George Adams (Basil Rathbone) is afraid that Steve won't write if he gets married, so he hires an actress to crash the wedding and claim to be Steve's wife. Caroline takes off in a huff and goes back to teaching. Steve finds a hitch in the college charter and registers as a student. The faculty is determined to kick him out and looks for opportunities to give him demerits. By the time he's kicked out, Caroline has fallen back to love with him. Steve agrees to write Adams' show if he give's Caroline top billing. |
