Review - Slap Shot
I know it's considered a classic, but that can only be with the beer-drinking, hard-swearing crowd. There was nobody to root for and no actual point.

| Description: | The Charleston Chiefs, a pathetic minor league hockey team is going nowhere and is about to be disbanded. The coach, Reggie (Paul Newman) comes up with several schemes to make the team popular so the owner will sell it to another city. The scheme that works is violence, thanks to the Hanson brothers who cause chaos on the ice and become fan favorites. In the end, Reggie doesn't manage to save the Chiefs, but they do win the pennant and Reggie gets another job as coach in another town. |
