Description:Three bachelors, Peter (Tom Selleck), Michael (Steve Guttenberg), and Jack (Ted Danson) share a large apartment with whatever women they happen to be dating at the moment. Jack is an actor. His agent asks if he can have a package delivered to the apartment to be picked up later in the week. When they find a baby girl on their doorstep, they assume, wrongly, that she is the package. The real package is a heroin shipment, and the three have to deal with the drug dealers harassing them for it while also trying to learn to take care of a baby. The baby belongs to Sylvia (Nancy Travis), one of Jack's girlfriends. When the three guys get totally attached to the baby, Sylvia shows up again and wants to take her. The three guys invite Sylvia to move in with them and the four of them raise the child. Meanwhile, they also manage to trap the heroin dealers and turn them over to the police.

Review - Three Men and a Baby

It consisted mostly of three grown men acting like total morons trying to care for a baby while the baby cried. There wasn't really much of a plot apart from that. The heroin side story was stuck in to add drama, but it was so easily dispatched that it too was without suspense.

I had seen this when it first came out, but had long forgotten the scene near the end where the three guys sing "Goodnight Sweetheart" as a lullaby to put the baby to sleep. I often sang that to both my daughters when they were young.
