| Description: | H.I.McDunnough (Nicolas Cage) is repeatedly arrested for robbery. He gets sent to prison so frequently that he gets to know Ed (Holly Hunter), the cop who photographs and fingerprints prisoners. They fall in love and get married, and HI gets a job, but they soon find out Ed can't get pregnant. They hear that furniture dealer Nathan Arizona just had quintuplets, so they decide to take one of the babies. They settle in at home as a family, but things soon go south. First, two of HI's cellmates Gale (John Goodman) and Evelle break out and show up at HI's trailor. Then HI's boss Glen comes by with his family. HI gets in an argument with his boss and gets fired. To get money, he robs a store when Ed and the baby are in the car. Then Gale and Evelle find out who the baby is and take it, planning on returning it for the reward. Then Leonard Smalls, a bounty hunter comes looking. Gale and Evelle rob a bank but accidentally leave the baby behind. Smalls gets it, but HI and Ed manage to grab the baby and blow up Smalls. HI and Ed decide to return the baby to its father. HI has a dream in which he and Ed stay together and have a large familly. |
