Description:Cowboys Gil (Henry Fonda) and Art (Harry Morgan) ride into a Nevada town just as news is received that a popular rancher has been shot by rustlers. The two men join the posse, but they aren't happy about the townsmen's rush to judgment. When they come upon three men with a herd of cattle, the posse, led by Major Tetly, decide to hang them. Only Gil, Art, and five other men oppose the decision, giving those who want to hang a large majority. The leader of the hanged men, Donald Martin (Dana Andrews) insists on their innocence, but they are hung anyway. Moments later, the sheriff rides up and informs them that the rustlers have been caught and the rancher is only wounded. Major Tetly commits suicide.

Review - Ox-Bow Incident, The

Good movie. It was shot on a stage to keep the budget down, and that shows, but otherwise it hangs together well. It is one of the rare Henry Fonda movies I've seen where I actually liked his character.
