Review - Rewrite, The
Not a deep, and certainly not a surprising movie, but I like Hugh Grant and Marisa Tomei and it provided several laughs.

| Description: | Keith Michaels (Hugh Grant) is an Oscar-winning Hollywood writer whose career is on the skids. The only job his agent can find for him is a teaching position at a college in New York State. Michaels arrives with a bad attitude and immediately begins an affair with Karen, a student in his class. He also meets Holly (Marisa Tomei), a single mom with a positive attitude who encourages him. When the affair with Karen comes out, Keith is almost fired. But by this time, he's seen a positive effect on several of his students and wants to continue teaching. He makes an appeal and is offered a last chance. He lets Holly know that he likes her and wants to get together with her — when she's no longer his student. |
