Description:James Hart (Timothy Bottoms) is a first year student at Harvard Law. He studies hard and attempts to break through the shield of tough professor Charles Kingsfield (John Houseman). He thinks he established a relationship until, after the final, he finds out that Kingsfield doesn't know his name. While all this is going on, Hart has an on-and-off relationship with Susan (Lindsay Wagner) who turns out to be Kingsfield's daughter. She doesn't care for her father and wants nothing of his lifestyle. After Hart's disappointment with her father, he goes off with Susan and doesn't even look at his grades when they come.

Review - Paper Chase, The

Very slow moving, the way movies were in the 70s, with a lot of scenes of characters walking and staring into space. Wagner was attractive but unconvincing as the girlfriend/daughter. Houseman won an Oscar for his role, but I wasn't impressed. There was no nuance whatsoever.
