Description:The Phantom (Billy Zane) is an African superhero. When bad guy Xander Drax (Treat Williams) tries to acquire three skulls that, combined, will give him great power, Phantom jumps into action. It also just so happens that his old girlfriend, Diana Palmer (Kristy Swanson) , is trying to stop Drax. Drax's henchwoman, Sala (Catherine Zeta-Jones) randomly changes sides in the middle of the movie after Diana questions her about her life choices. There's a big fight scene at the end where the skull ring the Phantom wears destroys the three skulls and Drax. Phantom expresses his love to Diana but for some reason lets her get away.

Review - Phantom, The

Based on an old newspaper comic and intended to have the feel of a cliffhanger serial. The sets were impressive, but the plot and acting were juvenile and I defy anyone over the age of 12 to find any reason to care about the characters.
