| Description: | Richard Hannay (Robert Donat) meets a mysterious woman who tells her of a plot to sneak government secrets out of England. When she is murdered, Hannay is accused and on the run. He travels to Scotland, where the woman told him the key to the plot can be found. On the way, he meets Pamela (Madeleine Carroll). She doesn't believe him, but when she's seen with him, the bad guys assume they're working together and grab them both. Hannay flees, dragging Pamela along. She finally believes him and they end up together after he manages to make it back to London and reveal the plot to the police. |
