Description:Jim Wilson (Robert Ryan) is a city cop who is stressed out about all the crime and filth he sees. When he starts getting violent, his captain sends him to the country to investigate the murder of a young girl. Wilson goes alone with the girl's father (Ward Bond) as they track the killer to a remote ranch. The killer is a young boy with mental problems. He lives with his blind sister Mary, (Ida Lupino). Jim is drawn to Mary and promises to take care of the boy, but when he and the girl's father chase the boy into the hills, he's killed in a fall. Jim goes back to the city, but keeps remembering Mary and finally returns to her and finds her waiting for him.

Review - On Dangerous Ground

An interesting story about a lonely man who is drawn to a lonely woman. The soundtrack makes it all seem overly dramatized, but it has a simple, clean plot and had me rooting for the characters.
