Description:Bill Clark (Steve Cochran) gets out of prison where he served 18 years for murdering his father when he was 13. He goes to a dance hall where he meets taxi-dancer Cathy Higgins (Ruth Roman). He follows her around, to her annoyance, but before long they're friends. She takes him back to her apartment to find a guy waiting for Cathy. When the guy gets rough, Bill slugs him. The guy pulls a gun. In the struggle, Bill is knocked out and Cathy grabs the gun and kills the guy in self-defense.
They take off to cross state lines and end up in California. Along the way, they decide to get married. They end up on a vegetable farm. They befriend the Dawsons—until the Dawson's see Bill's picture in a tabloid. When Mr. Dawson is injured, Mrs. Dawson turns Bill in for the reward. Cathy confesses to Bill that she killed the guy in her apartment, but Bill doesn't believe her. When the California cop comes to arrest Bill, he plans to kill him, but Cathy shoots him in the shoulder. Back in New York, everything ends happy when they find out that the dead guy confessed before he died that Cathy shot him in self defense.

Review - Tomorrow Is Another Day

Interesting story, and Ruth Roman played her part great. The big flaw, for me, is that there is no reason on earth why she would have been attracted to Bill or want to marry him. He was either mean or broody all the time and it just made no sense.
