Description:A friend asks lawyer Clay Dalzell (William Powell) to find his missing girlfriend. And then a reporter is killed in Dalzell's apartment. With the help of his girlfriend Donna (Ginger Rogers), Dalzell investigates the two events and how they're tied together. In the end, it turns out that the girl disappeared to avoid providing an alibi for a gangster who financially ruined her father. Dalzell and Donna get married.

Review - Star of Midnight

I had little to no idea what was going on with the mystery—I couldn't keep all the names straight—but Powell and Rogers played off each other well and made for a fun couple with lots of fun dialogue. Ginger rarely looked better.
