Description:Hal Carter (Josh Brolin) shows up in town and begins stirring things up. He's friends with rich dude Alan Benson (Ben Caswell), who knew him in college, but things have always gone wrong for Hal, and he may or may not be dangerous. When Alan's girlfriend, beauty queen Madge Owens (Gretchen Mol) gets interested in Hal, Alan decides he has to go and gets the police and the town stirred up against him. When Hal is run out of town, Madge decides she prefers love to wealth and follows.

Review - Picnic

Because Brolin didn't at all look like a recent college student, and because he always looked like he was pulling a silly prank and wasn't really dangerous, the whole movie didn't work for me.
