Description:When magician Duke Duquesne (Cesar Romero) dies, he leaves his castle to his daughter Cassie (Connie Stevens) with the proviso that she spend seven nights in the house. Reporter Val Henderson (Dean Jones) buddies up to Cassie to get a story but soon falls in love with her. Several mysterious things happen over the first few nights. When Cassie finds out Val's a reporter, she sends him away. Alone in the house, she comes face to face with her father—who didn't really die. He just faked his death to get his wife Melinda (also Stevens) to return to him. He is unable to deal with the fact that he killed Melinda while trying out his new guillotine illusion. Now insane, he thinks Cassie is Melinda and determines to try the guillotine on her. Val arrives just in time to stop him.

Seemed very tongue-in-cheek (it had Dean Jones and Connie Stevens, for Pete's sake) for most of it and then tried to get all horror and scary and ended up just dumb.
