Description:Mike McComb (Errol Flynn) is kicked out of the army during the Civil War. He believes he was treated unfairly and determines only to look out for himself. He moves to Nevada and opens a gambling house which takes in all the available money. The local mine owners, led by Stanley Moore, appeal to Mike. Mike is in love with Moore's wife Georgia (Ann Sheridan). He helps the owners, but only at a profit to himself. Soon he controls the town and the territory. He lets Moore go prospecting in Indian territory, where he is killed. Mike marries Georgia. Soon the other mine owners join up and start a banking war against Mike. He holds out, but when Georgia threatens to leave him, and his lawyer is murdered, Mike becomes the leader of the common men and gets things running again.

Review - Silver River

Seemed to take forever, and there really wasn't anybody to root for. Also, all stuff about the silver war and the banks closing was confusing and dull. Ann Sheridan didn't seem like she wanted any part of her role.
