Description:Dr. James Xavier (Ray Milland) is a doctor who develops eye drops that give him an ability to see inside patients to diagnose what's wrong them them. When his friend Diane (Diana Van der Vlis) can't get him any more funds for research, Dr. X insists on trying it on himself. At first, it's a success. He's able to help some patients, and he enjoys being able to see through clothes. But the drug gives him intense headaches and affects his reasoning ability. Another doctor tries to give him a sedative, but X pushes him—and not all that violently. The other doctor inexplicably falls through a steel-framed window to his death. X is now wanted for murder. He flees and ends up as a carnival side show with barker Crane (Don Rickles). Crane soon comes to believe X's power is real, so he talks him into setting up as a healer. Diane finds him, and X takes off with her. He goes to Vegas to get money, but his winning creates suspicion. He flees again, stealing a car and racing away. Eventually he crashes, then wanders into a religious tent show. The speaker tells him that if his eyes offend him, he should pluck them out, so he does and the movie ends.

Review - X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes

Stupid. I supposed the effects were impressive for 1964, but for me they were just a swirl of colors over and over and over and over. Remove that, and the silly chase scene that went around the same bend in the road three times, and the move would have been half an hour shorter, and better for it.
