| Description: | British farce about a group of beatnik friends who perpetrate a hoax about the Lock Ness Monster to drum up publicity. One of them has written a book on the monster, and they hope the hoax will sell the book so they can pay their rent. Adam Faith plays the writer, Terence Longdon is his friend, and Carole Lesley goes along because she looks like Carole Lesley. There are sub-plots about two innkeepers who poach salmon and a constable who chases a drunk through the woods all night only to catch him and then forget what crime he committed. At the end, the crowd figures out it's a hoax and chases the writer who escapes on the lock with his girlfriend, only to have the real Nessie show up. |
