But Janie really wants to marry a rich man, so when Harry (Burgess Meredith) pulls up in a fancy car, she instinctively gets in. She's surprised to find out he's poor and was only delivering the car to a rich man. But when they kiss, they both realize they're in love, and when he proposes, she says yes. Then she meets Dick (Alan Marshal), a real rich man. She invites herself out with him, and when he proposes, she says yes again. She now has to decide which one she will marry. She picks Dick because she's always dreamed of marrying someone rich, but when Harry kisses her goodbye, she realizes love is more important and marries him.

Review - Tom, Dick and Harry

I generally like Ginger Rogers, but here she was the weakest part of the film. For whatever reason, she played Janie like a drunken six-year-old with a squeaky voice who hadn't slept in four nights. She was truly annoying. One funny part: Harry goes to Tom's car dealership and arranges a test drive. He asks if he can bring his girl along and then has Tom pick up Janie and drive them to lover's lane. When they get there, Tom kicks them out of the car.
