Description:Theatrical agent Charlie (Frank Sinatra) juggles multiple women, although he thinks most highly of Sylvia (Celeste Holm). Shortly after Charlie's friend Joe (David Wayne) comes to visit, Charlie meets Julie (Debbie Reynolds), a promising actress who is very up-front about her ultimate ambition—to marry and have children. Charlie begins chasing Julie, which leaves Joe (who is married) alone in New York. He begins hanging around with Sylvia and is infatuated. Charlie and Julie get in a fight when she tells him she wants to marry him. He goes home and, on the spur of the moment, proposes to Sylvia, who accepts. He calls a bunch of friends for an engagement party, but when he meets Julie on the street, he gets engaged to her too. He sends Julie home, but in the morning, both Julie and Sylvia show up at the same time and find out what's going on. Joe proposes to Sylvia, but she knows he's really in love with his wife, so she says no. Sylvia meets another guy and marries him. Charlie goes overseas for a while, and when he comes back and marries Julie after all. Joe goes home to his wife.

Review - Tender Trap, The

Often not a big fan of Sinatra, but his lazy style actually worked here. Reynolds was cute but a bit intense. I'm not sure why I liked it as much as I did. Perhaps i was just in the mood, or perhaps it was that the characters seemed relatively authentic.
