| Description: | On one of the Outer Hebrides, the islanders run out of whiskey due to wartime rations. When a cargo ship full of whiskey is wrecked off the shore, the islanders gather together to salvage what they can — after waiting until after midnight on Sunday. Local laird and captain of the home guard, Cap. Waggett is scandalized and informs the licensing police. They come to search, but the islanders get advance notice and hide away all their stock. There's more in a seaside cave, and Waggett leads the revenuers there, but the islanders get their first again and get away with it. Waggett is removed when a shipment he approved turns out to be filled with illegal whiskey. |
