Description:A satire on European driving. Hulot (Jacques Tati) designs an ingenious car that turns into a camper. He and Marcel attempt to get the car from Paris to Amsterdam for a car show. Accompanying them in a sports car is Maria (who changes her outfits constantly), the P.R. person for the firm. They run into accidents, border and customs problems, traffic jams, and all sorts of other issues and distractions, finally arriving just after the show closes. Hulot is fired by his boss, but Marcel sets up the car on the sidewalk and gets orders for dozens of them by passersby.

Review - Trafic

Too slow-moving to be excellent, but still a very interesting movie about cars and people. In one scene, a succession of drivers in a jam all pick their noses. In another, windshield wipers operate in a way that reflects the drivers of the cars. There are gas-station give-aways, sight gags, chaos, and nonsense. In one scene, Hulot tries to scale a house by climbing the vines, only to have the entire vine plant slip down one floor.
